Warriors striker, Knox Mutizwa has found his goal scoring touch after helping Golden Arrows salvage a point following a two-all draw with AmaZulu in the Durban Derby this Wednesday.
Warriors striker Knox Mutizwa saved the day for Golden Arrows after he scored a penalty to level up the entertaining 2-all draw against AmaZulu in the South African DSTV Premiership this Wednesday.
The Zimbabwean converted a penalty after a handball incident in the Usuthu box to restore parity.
In England, Marvellous Nakamba played for Aston Villa in their 4-3 penalty shootout defeat by Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea in the Carabao Cup this Wednesday.
The Warriors midfielder was one of the players who missed a penalty after the match ended one-all in regulation time.
Still in England, Zimbabwean youngster Tawanda Maswanhise picked his first major honour of the season after winning the Leicester City Goal of the Month award for August.
The 18-year old scored in the 41st minute to restore parity for Leicester City’s Under 23 side against Blackburn Rovers.
Meanwhile, newly named Warriors Coach Norman Mapeza is expected to have the full complement of foreign based players for the back to back World Cup qualifiers against the Black Stars of Ghana next month in the wake of revelations that the British Brigade will be released.
The Warriors will travel to Ghana for a date against the West African giants on the 9th of September before hosting the reverse fixture at the National Sports Stadium three days later.
