Zimbabwe’s drive to penetrate the regional export market has received a boost with over 10 Congolese buyers in the country to source locally produced goods.
The Congolese team held business meetings with players from various sectors including fast consumer goods, ICTs, building and construction, agriculture and mining consumables, among others.
The Congolese business delegation is confident of concluding trade transactions with local firms.
Mr Lambert Tshisveka of the Federation of Enterprise of Congo said: “We are really looking into the possibility of clinching deals.”
“Our mission is to ensure we strengthen trade with Zimbabwe” said CRMS Chief Executive Officer Mbaya Nathalie, while Sisimizi SARL CEO Sammy Nkunza spoke about the need to build up more on local goods.
Zimbabwe has been exploring the DRC export market to boost trade.
The Congolese business team will also participate at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair which gets underway this Tuesday.
