FIFA rankings, warriors fall five places

By Sport Reporter
THE Zimbabwe senior men national football team’s recent poor form under Croatian Coach Zdravko Logarušić has come back to haunt them after the Warriors fell five places down the FIFA Rankings.
According to the latest FIFA rankings released this Thursday, Zimbabwe is now ranked 113TH in the world, five places down from 108 last month.
This comes after Zimbabwe collected just a point in their two World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Ethiopia which eventually saw Logarusic being fired.
Senegal are the top ranked team in Africa followed by Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco and Nigeria to complete the top five, while Zimbabwe are 28th on the continent.
Belgium are still the number one ranked team in the world followed by Brazil with England now third ahead of France.
