The local football community has come out guns blazing calling for the head of Warriors Coach Zdravko Logarusic who has presided over the worst period in the national football team’s history where he has won a single match in 14 outings.
Clueless, incompetent, ignorant or any similar word would probably describe the man who was hired by the Zimbabwe Football Association-ZIFA to lead the warriors.
While he could have fooled many when he was appointed, Zdravko Logarusic is simply a disaster after winning just one match in 14 outings.
The Warriors have lost their way having gone for 3 matches without scoring let alone win a match at home under the Croatian.
On his watch the Warriors have been to two tournaments, the African Nations Championship- CHAN and COSAFA producing their worst ever displays.
You could hardly recognise Zimbabwe as record holders of the COSAFA tournament after their worst ever campaign at the regional competition where they were the bottom placed team.
The Croat has been giving excuse after excuse but with coaching being a results oriented job, stakeholders have called for his ouster.
Former Warriors Striker Alois Bunjira spoke on Logarusic’s poor performance.
This is clear for all to see this guy has failed and even out good layers seem confused under him because they have lost confidence, 1 win in 14 is total failure not need for explanations, he said.
Speaking on the same issue former Warriors Defender William Mugeyi noted that the Coach had been given ample time too prove his worth but failed.
The stats speak for themselves, there will always be reasons behind of defeat but the numbers do not lie, this guy is not good enough and I question if it was a local coach would he have been given this long time to embarrass the nation, said Mugeyi.
Zimbabwe Soccer Coaches Association representative Bekhimpilo Nyoni questioned The Zimbabwe Football Association, (ZIFA) as the appointing body .
This is the time for ZIFA to act and they appointed him so they must fire him, but from the appointments of Valinhos now Loga it shows we don’t have money to bring in reputable coaches so let’s settle for local coaches we can afford, ZIFA needs to be serious and put their house in order, he noted.
Local football fans also took to social media to express their anger with the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting sServices, Mr Nick Mangwana adding his voice.
