MORE than 100 local companies are set to explore investment opportunities in Rwanda as the East African country hosts the Zimbabwe-Rwanda Investment and Trade Conference in Kigali at the end of this month,.
Rwandan Ambassador to Zimbabwe, His Excellency James Musoni, says the expo is part of growing bilateral relations between Rwanda and Zimbabwe which culminated in the joint permanent commission of cooperation between the two countries.
“The conference will be held this month and 100 Zimbabwean companies have confirmed participation. Already we have enquiries from companies in Rwanda who seek to partner Zimbabwean companies and some who want to import Agricultural products such as soya beans,” he said.
The latest development comes after Zimbabwe and Rwanda signed four memoranda of understanding in various sectors of the economy under the joint permanent commission on cooperation to foster bilateral trade relations between the two countries.
The Memoranda of Understanding were signed in the fields of diplomacy, trade and investment, justice as well as media, communication and publicity after the first Joint Permanent Commission on Cooperation hosted by Rwanda in March this year.
