Muzarabani Oil equipment now in Harare

By Davison Vandira
THE shipment of seismic survey machinery to be used in the Muzarabani exploration of oil and gas by Invictus Energy has arrived in Harare enroute to its final destination.
The high tech equipment that arrived aboard five haulage trucks this Saturday afternoon will be used for ascertaining the existence of oil and gas in the Muzarabani Basin.
The arrival of the equipment shows significant strides that have been made by Invictus Energy in following potential leads of oil and gas, thanks to the Second Republic’s open for business policy thrust.
According to Chief Executive Officer of Polaris Bill Mooney, the company that will map out the geological structures using modern data processing techniques, will finish the calibration process in a week’s time, paving way for real work down in Muzarabani.
“We are grateful that the seismic machinery is finally here without major incidents and we will be checking the technical aspects of these machines and once we are done we are taking then to Muzarabani,” he said.
Economic observers are excited with the country’s prospects of meeting its energy requirements, especially fuel, a key economic enabler.
