THE construction of the iconic hippodrome being carried out by Presidential Envoy and Ambassador at Large, Prophet Hubert Angel is set to be complete soon with more than 70 percent of the work covered.
Prophet Hubert Angel was appointed Presidential envoy and Ambassador at Large to Europe and the Americas to lure investors and is already constructing a multi-purpose hippodrome in Harare.
The project was commissioned by President Emmerson Mnangagwa, thus demonstrating how Prophet Angel has become an accomplished investor in his own right.
A visit to the construction site in Braeside in Harare this Wednesday showed that construction work is ahead of schedule.
“We have covered significant ground in terms of construction and we are happy by October it will be complete,” said Mr Tanaka Muswerakuenda.
In a short space of time since it was established, the Office of the Presidential Envoy and Ambassador at large has enticed several investments into the country.
“Of late the office has lured Ukrainaian investors to offer national identity documentation to Zimbabweans, Marvellous Makamba’s also comes in as huge investment courtesy of this office,” said Lee Ann Bernard Public Relations, OPEAAL.
The Hippodrome is set to become the largest conference centre in Zimbabwe with a holding capacity of 6500 guests.
