Warriors and Kaizer Chiefs forward, Khama Billiat is eager for a fresh start after recovering from injury which kept him on the sidelines for the better part of last season.
The talented forward missed a total of 26 games last season and marked his return to competitive action in the CAF Champions league final between Kaizer Chiefs and Egyptian Giants Al Ahly last month.
There were fresh worries over his fitness after the star forward was withdrawn in the second half of last Sunday’s Carling Black label Cup but Billiat has assured football fans that he is back to his best.
Being out of the team was the most difficult for me, as a player I want to contribute and being out for a long time is difficult but I am happy I am back and I am happy here at Kaizer Chiefs,he said.
Kaizer Chiefs have already confirmed that Billiat’s substitution was just a precautionary measure.
Amakhosi are preparing to take on Mamelodi Sundowns in an MTN8 quarter final encounter next week and Billiat’s return to full fitness will also be good news for the Warriors ahead the World Cup Qualifiers which get underway next month.
