Chevrons find winning formula

THE Zimbabwe national cricket side, the Chevrons kept the T20 series against Bangladesh alive after a 23 run victory in the second match at Harare Sports Club this Friday.
20 year old all-rounder, Wesley Madhevere led the Chevrons to their first victory of the current tour against Bangladesh with a quick fire 73.
After winning the toss and electing to bat, Zimbabwe was soon on the back foot after the loss of Tadiwanashe Marumani.
However, man of the match Madhevere quickly transferred pressure back to the Tigers with wonderful stroke-making and was given able support by Regis Chakabva and Dion Myers.
Ryan Burl blasted his way to 34 not out as Zimbabwe posted 166 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs.
In reply, the visitors were limited to 143 all out with Luke Jongwe and Wellington Masakadza taking three wickets apiece.
“All credit to the boys. Everyone in the change room gave me positive ideas… The wicket was on the slower side, but credit to the Bangladesh bowlers – they bowled well. I’m starting to fancy opening in T20s,” said Wessly Madhevere, Chevrons All-Rounder.
The Chevrons will be gunning for nothing except victory in the last match this Sunday to win their first T20 series against Bangladesh.
