THE Zimbabwe Warriors could be heading for an early exit from the COSAFA tournament in South Africa following a 2-nil defeat by group B log leaders, Namibia this Sunday afternoon.
It remains a paltry two points from three games and the going is indeed tough for the Warriors.
Having only managed draws in their first two games of the tournament, first a nil-all stalemate against Mozambique and a 2-all draw against Malawi on Friday, the only hope of staying in the tournament was a good result in their third match against Namibia this Sunday, but it was not the case.
Two second half goals were enough to send Namibia to six points in just 2 games, while the Warriors now hope for a miracle if they are to progress to the semi-finals as runners-up.
Two teams from each of Group A and B progress to the semi-finals.
Zimbabwe’s last group game is against Senegal on Tuesday.
