Sean Williams calls for discipline as Chevrons get jabs

Zimbabwe’s National Cricket Team, The Chevrons have intensified their preparations for the upcoming series against Bangladesh set for Harare Sports Club next month.

The Chevrons are preparing for a full series against Bangladesh which will see them playing a once off test, three T20s and three One Day Internationals that will form part of the World Super League.

The Super league is being used as a qualifier for the 2023 World Cup, with the top 12 ranked nations making it for the showpiece.

Discipline is key, the senior players have to show maturity and leadership in their approach of the nation is to do well, discipline in our batting, bowling and fielding, we have a young side so we need to guide them accordingly,said Chevrons Captain Sean Williams.

The series will kick off with a test match on the 7th of next month.
Meanwhile Up to 27 cricketers were part of the Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) group that was vaccinated against COVID-19 at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals in Harare this Saturday.

Among them were Zimbabwe senior men’s national team players Regis Chakabva, Tendai Chisoro, Richmond Mutumbami, Timycen Maruma, Wellington Masakadza, Richard Ngarava, Victor Nyauchi, and Wessly Madhevere among others.

Zimbabwe Women’s Captain Mary-Anne Musonda and her team-mates Precious Marange, Modester Mupachikwa and Esther Mbofana also got the Coronavirus jab.
