The Harare Derby featuring bitter rivals Caps United and Dynamos will take centre stage in the Chibuku super cup fixtures lined up for this weekend.
Makepekepe vs Dembare is a fixture that has produced so many heroes and villains while also dishing out fireworks that have left many in awe.
The latest edition is no exception with the current crop of players hoping to be on the right side of history after 90 mins.
The two giants started the tournament slowly, but have since picked up and if history is anything to go by, then the match is set to be thriller.
The match is also a top-of-the-table clash in Group One with CAPS United and Dynamos going into the encounter set for the National Sports Stadium on Sunday separated by two points, with Dembare on seven points, while Makepekepe are on five.
Weekend football action however starts with lukewarm Harare City taking on Herentals in an early kick off set for 11am at the National Sports Stadium, before Manica Diamonds host Black Rhinos at Sakubva Stadium with the match getting underway at 1pm.
Bulawayo Chiefs and Chicken Inn will conclude the day’s proceedings in a late kick off set for Babourfields Stadium at 3pm.
Sunday’s action will start with winless Yadah taking on ZPC Kariba in the capital at 11am before the Cranborne Bullets and Tenax clash at Sakubva set for 1pm alongside the Highlanders and Bulawayo City encounter.
The much-anticipated Harare derby will conclude the weekend’s action at 3pm.
