Bosso Squad Shapes Up

DESPITE player exodus during the Covid-19-induced lockdown, Bulawayo soccer giants Highlanders are happy with the material at their disposal after getting the services of seasoned players.
Veteran striker Mkhokheli Dube is the latest player to leave Bosso after Mitchell Katsvairo, Chris Mverechena and Collen Mujuru parted ways with Amahlolanyama.
However, Highlanders have been quick to find suitable replacements which include former 2019 soccer star of the year, Joel Ngodzo who found his way back to his boyhood club.
The club’s communications Officer Ronald Moyo says the Bosso squad has been reinforced and ready for the season.
“In March we held our AGM where we reported the state of the squad and from then we have managed to make significant acquisitions which has left us beaming with confidence.
“We have secured contracts with key stars like Winston Mango, rejoined with Highlanders son Joel Ngodzo, signed Toto Banda, Chrispen Ncube and Prichard Mupelele.
“The coach has said he is happy with the squad and is ready for the looming soccer season,” he said.
Fans will pin hopes on head coach Mandla Lulu Mpofu to bring back the glory days to the seven-time Premier Soccer League champions.
