Warriors defender, Jordan Zemura is set to live his dream of one day playing in the prestigious English Premier League should his team, Bournemouth sails through the English Championship play-offs next month.
With Bournemouth’s place in the top six having been confirmed at the weekend following Swansea’s 2-2 stalemate with Reading on Sunday, it is hoped Zemura and his teammates will fight for the top spot and make a return to the English top-flight.
Although the Warriors defender has spent the greater part of this season with the development side, featuring once for The Cherries in the league and appearing thirteen times on the match-day squad, promotion of his team into the top flight is enough for Zimbabweans to celebrate.
Should “The Cherries” make it past the play-offs and make a return to the big league, Zemura will become the latest Zimbabwean to play in the EPL and join the likes of Peter Ndlovu, Benjani Mwaruwari, Bruce Grobbelaar and Marvelous Nakamba in the ranks.
The 21-year-old Warriors defender joined Bournemouth from Charlton Athletic in 2019.
