The recognition of Delta Corporation rated number 30, Kefalos position 52, Lake Harvest position 59 and National Foods position 68 is a huge endorsement of the country’s manufacturing sector in general and speaks volume of Zimbabwe’s ever increasing capacity to become a continental economic hub.

Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries President, Mr Henry Ruzvidzo believes the ratings are a good economic barometer to the strides Zimbabwe is making towards being counted amongst the best in Africa in terms industrialisation.

“The recognition of the four Zim companies augurs well with our national development aspirations as espoused by the National development Strategy one and with proper planning and support from everyone the country will continue to shine,” said Mr Ruzvidzo.
The recognition of these local companies comes after President Emmerson Mnangagwa recently noted the increasing supply of locally manufactured goods in the local market.
It also comes as the country is ceased with finding market opportunities on the continent following the operationalisation of the African Continental Free Trade Area in January this year.
