Johnfat Sibanda has been elected as the new Highlanders Football Club Executive Chairman at the club’s elective Annual General Meeting held this
He will be chairman for the next four years after beating incumbent Colonel (Retired) Kenneth Mhlope.
The Bosso life member polled 154 votes narrowly edging Mhlope by 5 votes as he polled 149 votes.
It was a complete change of guard as Morgen Dube beat incumbent Israel Moyo for the post of Secretary General.
This time there was a huge margin between the two candidates as Dube got 212 votes as compared to Moyo’s 91.
Mgcini Mafu was also elected committee member, beating Bhekumuzi Sibanda.
The election of the 2 remaining positions of Vice president and treasurer will be held next year when their terms expire.
