THE country’s largest beverage manufacturer, Delta Beverages’ acquisition of the Mutare Bottling Company plant, has raised the firm’s prospects of increased production to meet local demand for beverages.
Finalisation of the deal announced by the beverage firm this Thursday concludes a much awaited deal which would assist Delta Beverages to expand its soft drinks market in Manicaland Province.
The beverage concern is buoyant that the deal will result in optimal utilisation of the existing assets, including the Mutare bottling plant, and the distribution value chain.
The sale finally gives Delta access to Manicaland’s soft drinks market, and allows Econet to let go of a non-core asset that it had been trying to sell for a decade.
