Dynamos calls for football resumption

By Lawrence Trusida
Harare giants Dynamos have added their voice to calls for the resumption of local football, urging authorities to come up with a plan to save the sector from collapse.
Calls for football authorities to craft a comprehensive plan for the resumption of local football continue to grow louder.
The Harare giants, Dynamos Football Club are the latest to add their voice, underscoring the need for authorities to take football as an industry.
Club Spokesperson Yvonne Mangunda says football is not being treated seriously in Zimbabwe.
“We need to understand that sport is livelihood and what is the major difference of soccer to other sports, right now institutions have made investments but there is no value for money, sponsors want a return on investment.”
“Football has returned in the region yes we are in covid times and situations are peculiar but what is more difficult in our situation, right now even the National team has been affected because we are playing against active nations.
“Its high time ZIFA and SRC come up with a plan because we continue to destroy the industry and it shall be difficult to resurrect.”
Dynamos made a raft of signings last year without any football being played in the country and this year they are looking to further bolster their squad with an anticipation that football will soon resume.
The Glamour Boys confirmed that they are talking to Ngezi Platinum over the services Keith Murera.
Dynamos is also believed to be pursuing the signatures of Mandlenkosi Mlilo and Powell Govere.
