The Premier Soccer League has revealed plans to build its headquarters in Harare as part efforts to reduce the costs of operating from leased properties.
PSL has been operating from rented properties since 1992, amid concerns that this does not portray a good image for the countrys elite football controlling body.
However, the Premier Soccer League (PSL) has now confirmed plans to acquire land on which it will construct its headquarters in Harare.
“PSL is a big organisation and we should have a place of our own which is line with modern day football trends. We believe that the PSL should not be a briefcase organisation hence the efforts to build our own headquarters where we can conduct our day-to-day business.
“I believe the allocation of office space will be a huge step in bringing professionalism within the game.”
The finalisation of the land acquisition deal with the Harare City Council is expected to see the PSL building its offices on a 5000 square metre piece of land.
