FC Platinum in Senegal for make or break tie

By Skilder Makona

The countrys representatives in the African Safari, FC Platinum are now in Dakar, Senegal for their make or break tie against ASC Jaraaf at Stade Lat Dior in Thiès on Sunday.

FC Platinum who have a one-nil deficit from the first leg played at the National Sports Stadium in Harare last Sunday, are hoping to turn the tables when they face the Senegalese giants in their own backyard.

The Platinum Miners need to win the match with a scoring result above a goal for them to make it to the Group stage of the competition.

In an interview before their departure for Senegal, FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza said they remain positive ahead of the clash and will push to overturn Sundays 1-0 defeat.

With football being football where anything is possible, it would be too early to rule FC Platinum out of the tournament given that their opponents ASC Jaraaf lost their last home encounter.
