Mapeza confident of overturning deficit in Senegal

ZIMBABWE Champions FC Platinum are set to leave for Dakar, Senegal, this afternoon ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup play-off second leg against ASC Jaraaf on Sunday.

The match is a must-win for the Zimbabwean champions who lost the first leg one-nil at home.
FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza is confident of overturning the result.

“We need to go there with a positive mind and we need to believe we can do it. I watched their match the San Pedro the Ivorian team and they lost at home they are not intimidating. We had so many chances and we now need to make sure that we take them and overturn the result,” he said.

FC Platinum can also take comfort from the fact that ASC Jaraaf are not usually at their best on home soil after losing one-nil at home to Cote D’Ivoire side San-Pedro in the first round before going through on away goals rule.

FC Platinum are expected to arrive in Dakar this Wednesday.
