Madondo gunning for world tittle

By Lawrence Trusida
Zimbabwean boxer Revai Madondo is now gunning for the world title after her victory in a non-title bout against Stumai Muki of Tanzania at the weekend.
The super flyweight champion returned home this Tuesday after her victory in Tanzania where  she won through a unanimous decision.
Madondo says her focus is now to beat Argentine Mariela Ribera Valverde and claim the World Boxing Federation (WBF) international super flyweight title.
“My dream is to be a world champion, I have worked so hard to be here and I will continue to work extra hard, right now I am going back to the gym no time to rest. My coach has been pushing me so hard and ndicharamba ndichishanda nesimba”
Delta Force trainer, Clyde Musonda says he is happy that the WBF has given Zimbabwe the opportunity to host the title fight.
“I am happy that we might have home advantage on the fight, the WBF said we can table a bid to host and given our history of hosting international matches we stand a good chance.
“And playing on home soil is good for Revai and will boost her but am thinking of organizing another fight for her before she get to the title fight.”
The WBF international super fly weight title is slated for April this year.
