Shutt rules the roost in South Africa

Zimbabwe’s upcoming golfer, Keegan Shutt has made headlines after being crowned champion at the just ended South African Nomads Under-15 tournament this Friday.
Promising golfer, Keegan Shutt has asserted himself as the next best golfer in the country and region after he ruled the roost at the Amateur Nomads U15 tourney which ended at Selbourne Golf Course in South Africa this Friday.
The 14-year-old Chapman Golf Club men’s champion golfer shrugged off intense competition from over 60 other golfers, scoring 221 with 5 over par to land his first silverware on South African soil.
“It feels great to be the winner credit goes to my parents and my coach they’ve been so supportive of me. From here and with this win I hope to one day become a pro-golfer. It is important for me to test myself against older and more experienced players and to push myself and put myself under pressure.”
A visibly elated Zimbabwe Junior Golf Association President Illunka Becker, said with proper guidance and support, Shutt will definitely become a world class golfer.
“I am quite impressed with Shutt’s achievement it really shows were we are with golf in Zimbabwe. Shuts is a very hardworking and determined who always aims higher. I am glad he has managed to bag this accolade and raised the country’s flag high we are positive he will reach the top.”
Shutt’s victory comes on the back of the golfer coming 3rd at the Nomads Under-17 golf fiesta in South Africa, before settling for fourth position in the National Order of Merit Coastal U19 few days ago.
