FC Platinum say they are not moved by Simba SC’s threats ahead of their CAF Champions League first round second leg tie at Mkapa Stadium in Tanzania on Wednesday.
The platinum miners’ spokesperson, Chido Chizondo says the boys are aware of the task which lies ahead and are ready to neutralise the Simba SC threat.
“The coach has carried a 22-man squad for the task to increase his choice of selection. The boys are raring to go and are ready to fight for a position in the next round.
“As you are aware, Simba SC has declared war on us, but what we know is FC Platinum thrives when there are numbers just like what we did against Orlando Pirates last season. The lads know what is required of them and we are hopeful of bringing home a positive result and sail through,” she said.
FC Platinum are a foot into the next round of the tournament after dismissing Simba SC 1-0 in the first round first leg encounter at the National Sports Stadium on the 23rd of last month.
The Zimbabweans have since left Harare for Dar es Salaam ahead of the crucial tie.
