Former Highlanders football club midfielder, Richard Choruma has died.
Choruma died early this morning at a private hospital in Thembisa, Johannesburg, South Africa.
He was 42.
Confirming the sad news, Choruma’s mother, Hilda Muganiwa said her son has been battling stomach problems since the beginning of this month.
During his playing days at Highlanders, Dabuka Express as Choruma was affectionately known in the football circles, dazzled fans with his skills and composure with the ball, something that classified him as one of the best talents in the country at the time.
Mourners are gathered at Y7 Mzilikazi in Bulawayo.
Choruma leaves behind wife, Sifiso and three children. Funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.
