THE Marvelous Nakamba Foundation, a brainchild of Warriors and Aston Villa midfielder Marvelous Nakamba, continues to put smiles on the faces of underprivileged children across the country, with its education facility benefiting more than 21 schools.
The Secretary-General of the Foundation, Brian Moyo said the organisation will be paying fees after realizing that most pupils face financial challenges in that regard.
“We are a relatively new project. We started last December and we have a few programmes that we are currently seized with one of which is the school fees education programme for pupils around the country.
Nakamba recognises the challenges that young stars encounter whilst they are at school. He decided to share the little that he gets with Zimbabwean school pupils of different age groups from Grade 1- A level and the thrust is on needy children.
“We have actually a number of schools as you may be aware Marvelous attended Njube high, Helemu primary and Nkulumane primary so all those schools are part of the beneficiaries. In Hwange Dinde is also part. They are schools in Matabeleland South, Midlands as well as in Harare with learner’s who are benefiting. What is key is that in those schools a number of them relate to Nakamba’s upbringing or is parents. We are covering a wider spectrum with this initiative,” he said.
