LOCAL firms are considering Covid-19 mitigation strategies to revive productivity on the back of losses incurred due to the pandemic.
The Covid-19 pandemic came as a huge wake-up call for companies in terms of coming up with risk mitigation strategies on productivity.
With business reeling from the effects of the pandemic, a human resources excellence awards ceremony held in Harare recently saw business executives exchanging ideas on lessons learnt and the way forward.
“It is now up to what we can do to avert further possibilities of such effects in the future,” said Cephas Msipa Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries Past President.
Public Service Commission Acting Secretary, Mrs Ferida Matambo said with the government also feeling the impact of the pandemic, there is a need to come up with effective mitigation strategies.
“As the public service, we also continue to review the entire systems in order to improve the production value chain across the country.”
With just a few days before the year comes to an end, the impact of Covid-19 on productivity has become a great cause for concern to local companies and employees.
