WARRIORS coach, Zdravko Logarušić is hoping for a change of fortune when his charges take on Algeria in another Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the National Sports Stadium on Monday.
The Warriors started off the first leg in Algiers with high intensity but soon ran out of steam and eventually lost 3-1 to the African champions.
Warriors head coach Zdravko Logarusic has attributed that to lack of preparedness and match fitness in general, but believes his team could have come away with a point had they not respected their opponents too much.
“Obviously I am disappointed by the result. I know we made some mistakes but we should have scored goals if we had taken our chances. I will pick the positives going forward. We respected them too much and going forward we need to play the game on merit and i think we will also change the formation at home, we will see what suits us better. You saw when we changed the system, in the second half, it worked very well and we were pegging them back,” he said.
The Warriors, who arrived back in Harare yesterday, trained today and will have another training session tomorrow before they go hunting for the Desert Foxes on Monday.
