Government has commended the critical role of the country’s private sector in elevating the local economy to world-class standards.
The adoption of modern business practices has become key in growing developing countries’ economies, with the private sector playing a major role in implementing and optimising organisational processes.
This Friday, the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Harare Province, Honourable Oliver Chidawu presided over the Call Center Association of Zimbabwe annual awards in recognition of local companies which have adopted call centre management which has helped transform business operations globally.
“In our pursuit towards attaining Vision2030 of an upper-middle-income country, Government recognises the strenuous efforts of private companies towards improving efficiency in the way they conduct business which ultimately contributes towards making Zimbabwe a modern economy.”
Call Center Association of Zimbabwe President, Dr Lance Mambondiani commended the response of local companies to world-class business standards especially in terms of call centre management.
“Call centres have become the nexus for efficient interaction between organisations and their clients so as Zimbabwe we are pursuing measures to develop the call centre management industry which can contribute to economic development in Zimbabwe.”
The City of Mutare won the grand prize of the best run city in Zimbabwe, with other winners including BancAbc and ZIMRA for being the best call management centres in their respective categories.
