THE Warriors coach, Zdravko Logarusic says he is ready for the challenge ahead as Zimbabwe takes on African champions, Algeria in back-to-back Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers next month.
After taking charge of the team for the first time in an international friendly against Malawi last week, head coach Zdravko Logarusic is hopeful of bringing success to the Warriors camp when Zimbabwe clash against Algeria in back-to-back AFCON qualifiers next month.
With the Malawi friendly marred by chaos, the Warriors coach believes preparations for the AFCON qualifiers will this time around go smoothly and hopes the Warriors will produce a positive result.
“Firstly, we have to learn from our mistakes from the previous game,” he said.
“However, we believe this time around a lot of factors have been considered and I am quite hopeful that the preparations will go smoothly. We have already sent invites to foreign-based players and I am happy that their performance is rising with each passing game.
“It is a good start for us and going forward we can achieve great things.”
The Warriors will play African champions Algeria away on the 9th of next month before hosting the North Africans a week later at the National Sports Stadium.
Zimbabwe began their AFCON 2021 campaign with a nil-all draw against Botswana at the National Sports Stadium, before winning 2-1 away in Zambia.
