Bowling Coach, Douglas Hondo will take charge of the Zimbabwe National Cricket team during their tour of Pakistan in the absence of Head Coach Lalchand Rajput who could not travel with the team.
In a statement, Zimbabwe Cricket-ZC said the Embassy of India in Harare wrote to the local cricket mother body asking Rajput to be exempted from visiting Pakistan in accordance with travel guidelines stipulated by the Government of India for its citizens.
The communication from the Indian authorities meant that Rajput who had been issued with a visa by the Embassy of Pakistan in Harare could not travel with the Chevrons for the limited overs series.
Hondo will be in charge for three one day internationals and the same number of T-20 encounters.
The Chevrons have since arrived in the Pakistan capital, Islamabad, ahead of the series which gets underway at the end of this month.
