The government has cleared the rumors of missing Air Zimbabwe M60 aircraft, saying the planes are there but merely missing in the company’s asset records.
Amos Marawa, Transport and Infrastructural Development Permanent Secretary dismissed the recent media reports alleging that Air Zimbabwe MA60 was missing.
“An Aircraft is too big a machine to be stolen and not be detected . It’s not something one can put in a pocket and go away with. What happened is when an audit of assets was carried out, what was on the ground and in the books could not match. In the case of MA60, they were handed over by the government but the parastatal did not have them in their asset records ”
