Warriors beat Comoros

The Zimbabwe Warriors played their first match against Comoros for COSAFA quarterfinal on Saturday, the 1st of June where warriors managed to score two goals while Comoros failed to score. They played at the Princess Magogo Stadium in Durban, South Africa.

The two goals were from Evans Rusike, who scored the first goal and Khama Billiat Mamelodi who scored the second goal.

The Warriors, who are the defending champions in the Cosafa Cup, have won the Southern African competition a record six times, having won the competition’s the last two editions.

Meanwhile, the warriors are to play a friendly match against Super Eagles in Nigeria before they attend Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to be held in Egypt from the 21st of June to 19th of July.
